2024 ARRL Field Day
W4BFB will be operating from Park on Wilgrove,
7750 Jim Harper Lane, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
Setup will be Friday, June 21 from 3:00pm – 8:00pm, and Saturday, June 22 from 8:00am – 12:00pm.
The club picnic will be Saturday, June 22 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm, with a brief Business Meeting to follow.
Operating will be Saturday, June 22 from 2:00pm – Sunday, June 23 2:00pm.
Amateur radio operators will demonstrate how we serve the community in times of emergency and when there is a need for Auxiliary Communications.
The radio operators will spend the next 24 hours contacting stations throughout America and Canada as they would if there was a need to relay important information on behalf of our served agencies such as the American Red Cross and Mecklenburg Emergency Management. Most stations will operate on emergency power to simulate disruptions to the power grid.
The event should be especially interesting to young people who are interested in science, electronics, and modern technology.

We are looking for assistance with setup, teardown, obtaining bonus points,
operating (Phone, Digital, CW, GOTA), logging, and of course, if you’ll be attending the club picnic.
